street hot dogs should be one dollar, maybe a dollar fifty. anything more than that and theyre swindling you. walk another block and get urself a decently priced hot dog

you dont have to yell “TAXI” when ur tryin to hail a cab, we all know u want a cab, thats why ur sticking ur arm up like a square

seriously. walk faster and in a tighter clump. people have things to do and the sidewalk is not yours to command

also: don’t mention you are visiting or not from ny when you’re in a taxi bc taxi drivers will take this info and take you on a detour that will make your cab ride more expensive bc you aren’t a native and won’t realize it’s a dumb way to go… always act like you know what you’re doing in a cab (ie know the cross street, just an address won’t do you any good) or you will get screwed -tips from a new yorker 

and for god’s sake pLEASE STOP standing at the top of the subway stairs to check your phone, who raised you, was it PHONE WOLVES, you are BLOCKING THE STAIRS and people are wishing you great ill for your terrible actions.

and if you are on an escalator, the right side is for people who want to enjoy the ride, the left side is for people who have shit to do and need to keep walking. DO NOT STAND SIDE BY SIDE ON AN ESCALATOR BLOCKING EVERYONE TRYING TO WALK

Also, when visiting Penn Station, it is a maze of suck. Do not stand around, open-mouthed like a fish in the middle of the concourse. WE GOTS PLACES TO BE PEOPLE.
